We understand that our new member processes may be lengthy in it's entirety. This page will hopefully answer any questions you may have about any of the separate processes. If you find you still need assistance, please email welcome@ apipeoria.org with specific questions and we'll do our best to help!

Please note that in a few instances, we do ask for private information. This is for our current members' safety as we share a lot of private information not only about ourselves, but about our family members as well. As a member, you can be sure that we take precaution in making sure new members' intent to join us is honest.

Note: Each step listed below is a direct link. The link to step 4 will only work with an active meetup account.

STEP 1: Join Meetup
Meetup.com "helps groups of people with shared interests plan meetings and form offline clubs in local communities around the world".

To get an account, visit www.meetup.com and complete the registration.

Note: Please be sure to use your first name and at least a last initial (last name is preferred) as your meetup username. This helps tremendously for us to get to know one another.


STEP 2: Search for Attachment Parenting on Meetup
Perform a search for "attachment parenting" and enter your zip code.



STEP 3: Register to Join Attachment Parenting of Peoria
Please be sure to add your phone number to make the process complete.



STEP 4: Come to an Event!
View our calendar and choose an event to attend!

Note: There is a two-step process to RSVP successfully. First, click on "Yes", "Maybe", or "No". Second, click on "RSVP for this meetup".

The comment box is generally used to announce who you are bringing. If it is a child, please include first name and age. This is especially helpful when RSVPing for an API monthly meeting as it helps us organize the mother's helpers.


The guest box is used if you are bringing any other adults with you. In this case, people generally add who they are bringing in the comment box.



STEP 5: Join Our Online Message Forums
Once you attend an event via meetup, you are eligible for our online forums. This is a great supplement to our real-life events. Fill out the registration process and submit. Personal information is requested and needed in order to approve your registration. Once approved, supplemental information about the forums will be sent to you via email.

1.) Getting Started Click on the link provided. Read the registration terms and rules.


2.) Complete the registration form by filling in the blanks and following instructions. Upon completion, click on "submit my registration".
