Receiving the Newsletter

We have a Yahoo group that is set up specifically for the use of sending out the newsletter. The only monthly messages that are sent through this group are reminder notices for submission deadlines (only sent occasionally) and the newsletter itself (sent once per month). If you would like to join this group and receive the newsletter directly in your e-mail inbox, please visit the Newsletter Yahoo Group and click on "Join this group!" Submission Information

The API of Peoria newsletter is truly a for-parents and by-parents publication. Each of our submissions comes from one of you, parents in the midst of the prime years of parenting. And all of our subscribers are either parents or parents-to-be, who can really identify with thoughts from their peers. Every one of our readers has unique ideas, sources, knowledge and talents. Think about what you could share with this wonderful community. Your submission large or small could make a difference for another one of our readers. Look at all the things you could share…

Dates
From upcoming community events to a playdate or other event that you’d like to schedule for the group in the next month or two. The sky is the limit here! Please include your name and contact info if you’d like RSVPs.

Easy recipes
For busy parents. Especially freezer-friendly! It's so helpful to have quick easy recipes at the ready so we can spend less time in the kitchen and more with our families!

Natural cleaner recipes
For a healthier home environment.

Craft / Project / Activity Ideas
For spending quality time with your children or for giving yourself a much deserved break!

Tips
For attachment parenting, better living, etc...

Birth Stories and Birth Plans
Our readers LOVE these - please share yours! Great excuse to get writing if you haven't already recorded them too: )

Book recommendations
Children's / parenting / birth preparation / other...tell us about your favorites. If it's a children's book, you could also tell us about what your child thinks and how old he / she is.

Quotes - from something your own child has said to your favorite bit of wisdom from your grandmother, to something you saw in a magazine or book, etc...life lessons / parenting thoughts, etc.

Poetry
Yours or someone else’s. Long or short. Consider whether I will have to get permission to print copyrighted material.

Parenting thoughts / stories.
I'd love to include an article authored by you if you'd like to write one. This doesn't have to be hard! It could be a short story about something you’ve learned about parenting, about your children, what attachment parenting means to you, etc.

Links - what websites help you parent better or give you the best parenting information? Which ones do your children enjoy?
